The engineer
Responsible for the system, the architecture and the product. Keeps complexity on the back side and leaves the user with speed and simplicity. Likes building things that scale: data models, infrastructure, code with a long life.
iliktekin started at the table of two siblings: one an engineer who builds systems, the other an artist who makes meaning. The company appeared when we realised we were asking the same question in two different languages.

House of brands

It began with a simple observation: technology moved to the centre of our lives, but instead of bringing people closer to each other it brought them closer to a screen. As two siblings — one trained in engineering, one coming from the arts — we noticed we were describing the same problem in different vocabularies.
The engineer framed it as: how is this built, how does it scale, how does it stay up? The artist framed it as: how does this make someone feel, which culture does it grow, why is it worth doing? Once we learned to hold both questions at one table, the company followed on its own.
So iliktekin is neither purely a software company nor an art collective. It sits at the intersection: a house of brands that puts engineering discipline at the service of cultural production. Founded in Ankara, extended to Berlin — and still on its first product.
Putting engineering at the service of cultural production.
Responsible for the system, the architecture and the product. Keeps complexity on the back side and leaves the user with speed and simplicity. Likes building things that scale: data models, infrastructure, code with a long life.
Responsible for meaning, aesthetics and cultural direction. Decides how a product feels, which scene it belongs to and why it will be remembered. Treats culture as infrastructure, not decoration.

Where we started. The centre of the team, of production and of engineering. The ground where we read a new generation's culture from the inside.

Where we look. The centre of night culture, independent art and European scale. We build our products against the standard we find here.
Engineering and art can sit at the same table. Our job is to get a product off that table.
We are not a one-product company. We build brands that stand on their own identity; what they share is the approach underneath. The first is Duckout.
We build systems that make artists, venues and collectives easier to find. We don't produce the culture; we make it easier for the people who do.
The wish to get together doesn't change; the tools carrying it do. We invest in the part that stays the same.
Write to us about joining the team, collaborating, or simply to say hello. We are a small team and we read every message ourselves.
